I am deeply committed to sociological and demographic research that reaches a wide audience, informs policy, and serves the community. I have been volunteering at the Boston Area Rape Crisis Center since 2016, and am currently a weekly hotline counselor at the center. I work with survivors of sexual violence, their significant others, and other service providers. I also contribute regularly to a number of Chinese and international media including South China Morning Post, the Paper (Pengpai), Tengxun Dajia, and Renwu and provide comments and op-ed articles on human and reproductive rights, gender equity, and social inequality in China.
